Robinson
I recently received a new computer with an ATI Radeon HD3450. It is a horrible card for gaming so I purchased the Nvidia GeForce 9800 GT. Now I want to ensure I have all uninstallation steps correct. 1. Uninstall graphics card through Control Panel (Device Manager if necessary.) 2. Run Catalyst Uninstaller found here. 3. Use Driver Cleaner.NET. 4. Remove ATI graphics card. Anything I missed? Would Driver Sweeper help as well? Edited January 23, 2009 by Robinson
Andrew55
That process will work, but you do have a mobo that supports nvidia, right?
Robinson
The motherboard inside the Dell XPS 420, I believe, is the Intel X38. Also I have read other people putting Nvidia cards in their system.
