Hello. Iv'e recently done a clean install of XP w/ SP3 on an old laptop with a GeForce 6600 card. When I download the latest driver + modded .inf it installs cleanly, but when I reboot I get the message "This driver has not been made for your version of Windows". Anyone got any ideas? (I can't use the forum search feature because I trigger the flood control for some reason...)

Oh, and if it wasn't ovbious, the driver refuses to work. The system jumps into VGA mode after boot.

I've got the same problem with geforce 8800 since i updated to sp3.. so how to fix it?

strange

does the stock driver thays came with your laptop still work?

I use the bootcamp drivers (since I'm on an Imac), and that works

Do drivers outside of the 180.xx series work? This information is quite necessary for the resolution of the problem. Thank you.
