mikilys
Hi :) I've opened my laptop because I had to clean went and I found an MXM type II card. I've tried GF8600GT 256MB, bu it didn't run. Probably it had locked BIOS - this was card taken form Compal FL90 or other model, but it was Compal. Is there any chance to run GF on my laptop, because I've occasion to buy 8600GS and I don't want to risk too much. I'm looking for HD2600, but in Poland it's hard task :/ "Thank you from the moutain" :)
Andrew55
If you say it is mxm type II then 8600 should work fine providing it is specifically compatible with your system. You can try ebay if you like.
mikilys
Seller says that this card is from nVidiia and never was in any laptop... So there's some chance, but like I said... GF8600GT didn't run. ACER dosen't have any nV BIOS for my TravelMate - only ATI... :/ That's why I'm asking. @down I've looked on old auction and it was from JFL92. If the card came from a fl90 it won't work no matter what you try....
