yes i know, maybe they just updated the driver selection menu. since now you can select geforce go 7 from the menu and go direct to the download page (that means, no submenu like 7950 gtx, etc)

Those are the latest mobile drivers put out by nvidia not the 175 drivers.

182.05 Drivers are suppose to be the best for FALLOUT 3, FEAR 2 and a few others.

* Up to 8% performance increase in Fallout 3 at high resolution and AA.

* Up to 10% performance increase in F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin.

* Up to 9% performance increase in Half-Life 2 at high resolution with AA.

* Up to 11% performance increase in Left 4 Dead at high resolution with AA.

* Up to 10% performance increase in Race Driver: GRID at high resolution and AA.

I have an HP DV6500 with nVidia 8400M GS, the highest 3DMark06 score I have seen has never passed 1700 (DOX drivers or anything else). THOSE DRIVERS GAVE ME 1756 POINTS (3%) increase JUST LIKE THAT

Since those drivers dont usually accept 8400M GS, I simply took one of the .INF files from modified 181.20 and IT WORKED.

Plus, overclocking with RivaTuner WORKS!!!!

(after many months of not working with anything else than 169.04, FINALLY it has worked with 181.20)

CHEERS. Now I need to check STANDBY-RESUME bug.

I hope the sleep resume bug has finally been fixed, i hope you can confirm whether it works or not.

It it's fixed it would be the first driver in the 18x.xx series that has it working.

Now i'm using the latest 179.xx driver for my 8400M GS just because of that verry anoying bug.

Nope the STANDBY-RESUME bug atleast on my DV6500 8400M GS has not been fixed. Such an annoying bug . Darn it. I might actually revert to an older driver because this is starting to bother me BIG TIMe. Not only XP, I have Win7 and it is the same problem.

I do get the HIGHEST scores ever plus OC works, but I dont play that many games but I work on my laptop and RESUME is sort of important especially when I dont want to close all my freaking papers and websites when I take a break. Ufffff soooo annoying.

Sleep mode works for me!! I was using 179.28 for the longest time since all the 18x.xx drivers broke waking up from sleep mode. I guess they did work on fixing the sleep mode, but didn't get it quite right yet? BTW, I'm using an LG R500 with a 8600m GT.

Things I changed in the INF:

PerfLevelSrc = 3322

EnableCoreSlowdown = 0

EnableMClkSlowdown = 0

EnableNVClkSlowdown = 0

The last three need to be 0, according to LG's OEM INF.. or else the video card slows down every 25-40 seconds for a split second.

Hope this helps.
