Hi i have the Geforce 8600m gt 512 mb, and there is so many problems with it. The screen keeps freezing in cod 5, and i tried allmost all drivers!!!I already have updated my sound driver to latest.

Do u think switching to windows xp will make it better? or maybe try an older driver ? or do u have any suggestions to what there will help?

BTW -If this help u, here are my computer specs:

Acer aspire 7720g:

windows vista 32 bit

intel core 2 duo t7700 2,4 ghz

3gb ddr2

Geforce 8600m gt 512 - up to 1280 mb

500gb dual hdd

17 wuxga full hd acer crystalbrite lcd

Are you saying you have a problem with COD5, or a problem with other games etc as well?

What settings and resolution are you using for COD5?

What drivers have you tried?

What frame rates do you get and what temps for your graphics card?

Gta 4 also runs very bad, not tried that it freezes. my cod 4 did freeze but i updated my driver at that time and that worked fine. mirrors edge runs fine.

in cod 5 my resolution is 1000*700 or close to that.

i have tried all new drivers- dox,and all the other new.

my temp for my card is 65 C.

Looks like it is COD5 specific then.

Have you installed the 1.2 patch and tried different game\nvidia control panel settings?
