Guest kell
Hello! I own a Gericom X-5 Force P4 1.7Ghz with a NVidia Go 420 / 32M, the card is recognised by the system is MAP17-232. The last drivers supplied by the manufacturer are 31.80 :-( Some time ago I tried Pieter's inf (can't remember, some 9.xx version) and the 44.63 and 45.91 drivers: the notebook started fine but as soon as i tried to access the control panel i got a *.dll (I tink it was nvview or nvcpl.dll, but not 100% sure) error. is this normal? for additional info i attached the inf of the 31.80 by gericom, and I can supply some older infs if needed. (shall i post all the inf i got in the request inf thread?) Can u give me some advice on what drivers and inf to use? (I saw today thet therapy has the X-5 Force listested in his working systems list *gg*) what's the difference between Pieter's and Therapy's inf? thx ind advance kell
mobilenvidia
Kell, Teraphy makes INFs for individual systems, he has a little program that does all this. ie Lots of INFs one for each brand. Which works fine most of the time. I mod INFs for all laptops. ie one INF for all laptops. Which also works fine most of the time. Either way the INFs don't always work for each machine. It's a matter of trial and error. Luckily for you, you have 2 options to try. Hope this helps, Pieter.
