photographica
Hi all, I am new to this forum hope someone can help. I just bought a EVGA GTX260 card to replace my 8800GTS512. In normal use, i have no problems with office, and other desk top progs. No probs so far with Adobe lightroom. I can play Battlefield 2142 seemingly without problems. However when i try to push it with Crysis it plays for 5 minutes or so and then the screen goes black and freezes. It seems to stay like that until i use task manager to end Crysis (which I can hear but not see). As i get back to desk top i get an error message saying the display driver has crashed and recovered. I have seen a lot on the internet with this problem but no one seems to have a solution. I got the latest driver vi evga website, makes no difference - v 7.15.11.8206. I thought it might be temperature but the GPU only got up to about 60 degrees. Suggestions and help would greatly be appreciated...
Au_Xtr3me
It may be a conflict with the present drivers and crysis. Try using some of the older drivers from early 2009 and late 2008.
Andrew55
Yes, it does seem to be a driver problem. I would recommend 178.13.
