mobilenvidia
v3.286 Made some DX10 changes this time. Installer seems to be all working now, just need to sort the BSOD
iaTa
v3.286 is the same: BSOD - nvlddmkm.sys - page fault in nonpaged area. I assume it's one of the mobile reg entries causing this?

jase79
None of the INFs work for me so far. I have an 8600M GS and am running Windows 7 32-bit. Installs fine but i get the endless BSOD loop at startup.

Installs fine but i get the endless BSOD loop at startup. That is because up until now I've been diagnosing x64 version. Give it ago now, juts uploaded 3.287 for x86 (make sure the iNF is v 3.287 not 3.282 (as until a minute ago)
jase79
Just tried the lastest INF for x86. No luck, still BSODs. I am willing to keep testing them, id really like this particular driver to work.
iaTa
v3.287 still BSODs without even touching the test entries.
Guest Guest
For my 8400M GS PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0427&SUBSYS_02271028&REV_A1 1) Install does not work, installs but driver not updated on reboot 2) Upon forced install it shows up as 8400M GS not WDDM 1.1 pre

If this does not solve it then, there is trouble (for me)
Beyond
Congratulations Pieter. Finaly you decided to make separated mobile settings instead of mobile_nv3x for all. I guess now we can have a bit more optimized drivers for the card instead all same old nv3x profile :)
mobilenvidia
The actual differences are tiny, but yes a tidy up was long overdue. Now what setting is causing the BSOD's with WDDM 1.1 devices ?
Beyond
I could test adding 1 by 1 until i get bsod but i got no time now sorry. Maybe later i can see what kind of tweaks you do in your infs to tests them all. I never felt curious to check it out cz all always worked fine sorry :) Edited March 5, 2009 by Beyond

iaTa
If you split the settings up into test sections like before I'll give each one a test if you like.

quakeramer
No BSOD here with the latest INF file, although my games now lack the custom 16:10 aspect ratio resolutions ... and only have the 4:3 one, which is annoying.
Guest Guest
Got BSOD with inf 3.288 on windows 7 build 7048 x64 (nVidia Quadro NVS 140M)

mobilenvidia
So we have a 9500M that works with modded INF A heap of 8600M's that don't And a 9600M that BSOD's with beyonds INF This is not an easy issue to diagnose.
Guest PiTRiS
And a 9600M that BSOD's with beyonds INF if you meant me by this, dont get me wrong... BSOD is with this INF (288), with beyond's inf it's working "fine".
quakeramer
Hi, I am the 9500M GS guy here, and it worked fine under Windows 7 7022. I have now installed Windows 7 7048, and I get NO BSODS (I repeat, No BSODS), the installation goes through fine and the computer restarts, but the driver isn't updated when I look in the device manager. I am still stuck on 179.28 which is the default Windows 7 driver. Hope this helps.
