really large nvidia driver(s)

My nvidia drivers take a total of almost 4 gb on my harddrive !! :O how is this possible and how can it be resolved? wasn't like that before as far as i'm concerned.

Used it but can't find any thread that is related with my issue.

Maybe I wasn't clear enough. I don't have any issues with shared memory. I just wondered why the driver software has taken 3.77gb of my harddrive. Just like a game in example takes 7 gb.

perhaps I didn't used the proper keywords for search can you please redirect me to a thread?

edit: i'm using the 182.05 DOX optimized driver but thats the only nvidia driver I have. I also have an audio driver by nvidia.

Hmm now I've said that I can't find the last time it was mentioned, but it is just an incorrect calculation, that happens for many of us.

You can check by other methods how room much they actually are taking up.

also checked with tune up .. says that it's the same as windows control panel. Well i also thought it was a mis calculation but couldn't find anything at google. For now I think this thread can be closed. thanks anyway ( to confirm it's a miscalculation )
