forevertheuni Posted March 18, 2009 Report Share Posted March 18, 2009 Hello, I turned on my asus a8JS a week ago and it had a white screen with vertical coloured bars, I plugged a VGA external screen and I have a lot of garbage in the image, if I unplug the Laptop TFT external image the image becomes better, still whit a lot of garbage. When nvidia drivers try to load(windows or linux) either goes black(windows) or it doesn't start X server(linux). It s a gforce go7700 512MB So my questions: 1. Is it only a graphics card problem or it might be something else? 2. How can I reflash my video card BIOS(and find a proper bIOS) to see if it solves my problem 3. This laptop uses the asus flipped MXM socket, and I thing F8 uses the same, so the next question obviously is: Can I plug in a F8 video card in and make it work?
