jackson1974
Hi All, I have recently purchased Warhammer 40000 Dawn of War II, and am playing it on my Toshiba P105 laptop. It has the following specs: T7200 CPU (2.0Ghz Centrino Duo) 4GB 667 RAM GeForce 7900GTX Go 512mb RAM (Hardware ID: PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0299&SUBSYS_FF311179&REV_A1) 7200RPM HDD I have found that I can only play it on the lowest graphics settings (literally every setting on low / lowest resolution), and have tried different drivers etc, but can't seem to get any better performance. Official Requirements Minimum Requirements ? * Windows XP SP2 or Windows Vista SP1 * P4 3.2 GHz (single core) or any Dual Core processor * 1 GB RAM (XP), 1.5 GB RAM (Vista) * A 128MB Video Card (Shader Model 3) - Nvidia GeForce 6600 GT / ATI X1600, or equivalent * 5.5 GB of Hard Drive space Recommended ? * Windows XP SP2 or Windows Vista SP1 * AMD Athlon 64×2 4400+ or any Intel Core 2 Duo * 2 GB RAM (XP and Vista) * A 256MB Video Card (Shader Model 3) - Nvidia GeForce 7800 GT / ATI X1900, or equivalent * 5.5 GB of Hard Drive space My laptop is on par (I would have thought) with the recommended specs & well above the minimum specs for the game. Can anyone either recommend some drivers or possibly advise which graphics settings I may be able to turn up with minimal performance impact? Thanks :)
Andrew55
What drivers have you tried. Try dox optimised latest drivers (i think 182.05).
jackson1974
Thanks Andrew55, With the Dox drivers, do I require a separate inf file?
Phnx
No, the dox drivers already have the modded inf included
Shadowspawn
I couldn't get Empire Total War running with my 7950 go gtx...ended up visiting nVidia site as they have just released their own driver for their laptop cards which it says won't interfere with any of the laptop makers gubbins. It's been working well for me.
