It's early days yet with these drivers and the SLi settings in the INF are not there with these drivers.

Try with Pieter's INF version 3.291... Perhaps this will correct your issue. I can't say for certain since I did not install them prior to the 3.291 .inf but all I can say about this driver release... PIETER you kick arse! This is hands down the best driver I have come across for the XPS M1730 (8800M GTX SLI). I can tell you now, PowerMizer is now working correctly with SLI enabled. With every driver I have tried, when SLI is enabled the damn GPU clocks are locked at factory default - no matter what. With SLI disabled - PowerMizer kicks in and manages the clocks based on load. Well, with the 185.66 driver PowerMizer is now downclocking and ramping up based on load. As soon as a 3D App is launched,, its right back to the stock clocks. When the app is closed, poof - back to 200/100Mhz. This is PERFECT since this translates into less heat.

Very stable - OC'd to 650/950/1550. Rock solid and excellent temps.

The image quality is superb and the thermals (even with SLI enabled) have not gone over 70c. I am impressed! Thanks!

Installed and working perfectly with Bioshock and Fallout 3 on my SLI 8700M Dell M1730 under Win 7 x64 beta 7057.

I've installed these drivers on win7 build 7057 9800M GTX. They do run significantly cooler than the 179.48 or the latest Dox drivers, however 3dmark06 score remains exactly the same. Unfortunately I do not have a game at hand right now to test actual real performance but I will soon.

does anybody have any idea how to install these drivers for 9500M GS?? any code which needs to be written down in the inf?

Pieter's INFs includes support for 8800m GTS & 9500M GS, all you need to do is download the INF from the first post and overwrite the nv_disp.inf.

// I'm cleaning up the 'INF didn't work' posts as there were issues in the first few INFs but should be working now.

Even though everything should be sorted out, CP still doesn't work for me. The installer is quite friendly though, as it lets me know that the driver's been installed, but not the CP. =S

Installed fine and CP works for me. Everything seems fine overall.

Ah I fixed it by installing it over itself while not in safe mode. Just for those of you who have the same problem.

well...after installing it, some artifacts appear like when u overclock a bit more than normal but only in 2D mode "Desktop" not in 3D mode "Games etc...". 3d mark 06 runs without problems...so i went back to 182.50...

btw..im softmoding the 9500m gs to quadro 1600m.

are they WDDM 1.1? (allow aero on win7) -- there was a comment that suggested not, but it isn't clear, since you say they run perfectly,.

Installed fine with the modded inf on a pair of Quadro NVS 290.

Seems to be working great so far, desktop is nice and smooth.

@ veritas72: WDDM 1.1 is not required for aero in Windows 7. Vista drivers are adequate for that. I do not know what enhancements WDDM 1.1 brings thus far.

Seem to be decent drivers for the amount of checking I did. However, while PowerMizer does work in adaptive mode, it didn't work in static mode (aka, PowerMizerLevelAC locking it to only max on AC and so forth) when I tried it previously (I hacked up the original .inf to install).

This is sad, because until nVidia gets it together and adds these options to the power profiles in Vista like ATI has done, allowing you to either use static or adaptive per power profile and making the control live, it jumps the clocks up to max in situations that don't need any more than minimum clocks such as video playback, and then as it steps down it makes the audio skip per each memory clock change.

Will give these another try with a proper .inf, but I'm not very hopeful as I tried both the PowerMizerLevel and PowerMizerHardLevel key sets and neither worked.

It work fine for me, it is as fast as 182.46 DOX release and it work great on FIFA 09.
