Guest Guest
Another interesting thing would be if there are still issues with graphic errors that lead up to a freeze with 9600M GT in XPS M1530. I had that Problems with all 185xxx Versions.
FrenchTouch
Well, 6530 pts with 185.66 and 6280 pts with this one with same clocks, obviously not a 3dmarks performer at least for my 9600M GT.
Guest spirit
Hello everyone, and what about a 86000M GT; is this drivers better to play GTA 4?
Guest Guest
Unbelievble driver for my 8600M GS!!! Running perfect better then any of 182.xx or dox's drivers, temperature stays really low!!! Thnx alot!
ZVanquish5
Yeah I've been having issues with the 185.6x drivers. My current version is 185.20 on an 8700m GT. I installed the 185.68 drivers and it seemed fine. It restarted and it said there was a problem with my video card device and so it couldn't load my driver correctly (Code 43). But I installed the 185.20 drivers just fine, and they work just fine. Anyone have an idea of why this is?
Guest Jango
yap seems this driver do not support 8xxxM mobils have same issus with my 8600M GT

Guest Yobo198
Forgott to ask. Does this work whit Go 7600 (laptop)? And if not, what is the latest driver that does?
KaZo
185.XX is not working for me with 9650M GT. i think its not compatible. with inf i have some errors. just wait for an official mobile driver. i tried this version 185.68 and i had some stripes on the screen and it crashes suddenly with restart. but 182.50 is working fine for me. no problems. Guest Guest
These vista drivers make my winmedia player video pause every couple of secs for about a half sec with divx/xvid, audio continues through the pause. VLC plays fine though. Older drivers with modded inf work fine. I'll revert and wait for a new one :)
Guest h0w1
Acer 5920 (8600m GT 512Mb)... Works fine. No any problems. Also no any nVidia Control Panel, nor in the Control Panel nor in the Desctop Setup.
Guest manuelcore
this driver works great with 9600m gt pavilion dv5t 1118en processor 8400: 2070 furmark 640x480, 1077 furmark 1024x768. thank you!
Peter Dackers
Acer 6930G with an 9600 GS. No errors during the installation (installed these on top of the .66 ones) and everything seems to be working fine. :) Thanks.
Guest kyryl
Is there sleep issue in this driver?
Guest Another Guest
I too would like to know if this has the sleep issue... Since my last driver update (I don't remember the version, it was some time back), every time my computer resumes from sleep, the monitor refuses to turn back on, and I have to restart (either hard reset or navigate mouse or keyboard blindly). Does this driver have that issue? HP Pavilion dv6395ea, GeForce Go 7200, Windows Vista Ultimate x86.
Guest JeremyA
Can anyone confirm that this driver will work with a GeForce 8600M GT on Vista 32-bit? I currently have 175.19 installed and Far Cry 2 keeps popping up a dialog box saying I need to update my drivers...
Guest Gman
Hi all, I'm just wondering why I'm getting choppy video play back on my Geforce Go 6800 that came with my Inspiron 9300. Currently using the 185.68 drivers with the modded INF and running Windows Vista Ultimate 32 Bit. Any suggestions? Thanks!
Guest Guest
No ideas guys? I've searched the forums but didn't find anything relevant. I'm using the latest VLC 0.9.9 by the way. Hope that can lead to some solutions. Cheers~
zipper
Best to try Windows Media Player if it's better - I find VLC not too fluid. Or try Media Player Classic.
Guest Guest
I've got Media Player Classic also and for some reason the same video file doesn't stutter on it. But it is choppy on VLC. Weird...Any settings or workarounds? I like VLC because I don't need to download all these codec packs that's why.
zipper
VLC is still pretty betaish with bad picture quality and performance - hope it gets better. I find Media Player Classic good allrounder and it is up to date with the codecs - mostly.

Playback depends on a number of factors including the type of file you are trying to play. If you search "jerky vlc playback" on google you will find a number of people reporting similar issues, with most using some sort of nvidia chipset. Sometimes it depends on the renderer/output for the format. There are a number of things that go into playing a video properly, so as Zipper said your best bet may be to try a different player. Or even try a different version of VLC. I also use Media Player Classic Homecinema and it works fantastic for me.
Guest Daerdor
8600M GS After update, no auto message was given to reboot. Also rundll32 kept running at max cpu. After reboot I found no issues so far, the driver gives slightly better 3D Mark results compared to the one installed previously: v177.79 2269 v185.68 2279
