Guest Jason
Hi all, I'm if anyone could clarify this for me it'd be a lot of help. I have an HP Dv3t running windows 7, and I'm using the latest original drivers from HP's website (.6225 I believe) Basically, I don't know where to find my original wrt.ini file. My original driver files should be at "C:\SwSetup\Drivers\Audio" but when I search for wrt.ini, I find over 30 such files, "WRT_M4-3.ini, WRT_M4-F.ini, WRT_M6-4.ini..." The million dollar question is which one do I need to copy to the modded .ini?

You'll need to find the PCI_ID and SUBSYS numbers from Device Manager Then search the WRT_XX.INI's for those numbers then you'll know which is your exact INI. Guest Jason
Thanks for the speedy reply. I'd like to contribute a little so here goes: Once you find your subsystem id, install a program called win grep. Start a search within the program for "'your id'=" (for example my sub id is 103C306E so I searched "103C6306E") and add the file type "*.ini" to your search. You will now find every instance of your subsystem id. Find the sub id that matched your pci vendor id and you should find out which wrt_****.ini to use. Cheers. Oh, and to the OP you could probably make it so that nobody would have to edit their ini file if you wrote a DOS program which uses the win grep program and edits the modded wrt , uninstalls the driver, and launchs the installation of your modded driver. Just a thought to make your driver more mainstream :)
Guest Jason
Bah, time for a double post! :[ I've been on this for the past 5 hours trying to make it work. So, I finally understand what to do and I perform everything as instructed yet I get a "Your hardware is not supported. This installation will abort" (or something to that effect) error message. Does this mean that my dv3t is not supported or did I do something wrong? My hardware ids are HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_111D&DEV_7608&SUBSYS_103C306E&REV_1002 and I used the data from the wrt_m6-7.ini in original driver 6.10.6225.0 to edit the /pins and /filter sections of your nodded wrt.ini. Did I miss something? Sorry for being a bother...I know you must get a ton of requests for help every day. In any case, thank-you!!

Guest Roy
Hello, I am using the latest driver published on this post, I have Sony VAIO Z21S and Windows 7. Everything works fine, i.e. PC audio, headphones and HDMI are all working OK but with one problem: When I connect the HDMI the PC doesn't automatically shifts the audio to HDMI but I need to do it manually using the sound card settings. Same happens if I disconnect the HDMI cable, I need to set the PC back as the default device. When I had the Vista this switch happened automatically. I tried playing with the settings but all it allows me is to set one default device at a time.

XinHong
Hello, I modded the lastest drivers for the XPS M1530, they are based on the 6261 with enhancements taken from modded INI & INF by mobilenvidia, thanks to him :) - SRS is working, there is StereoMix but seems not working, i don't know why. - Don't expect to use the Dolby Home Theater effect, we (M1530 owners) can't use it because our chipset don't support it in hardware but you can try Pro Logic IIx on digital output (Dolby digital Live seems not only restricted to STAC----X series according to the IDT specs). - You have access to additionnal panels in windows audio properties Modded INI & INF : IDT 6.10.0.6261 XPS M1530.rar Edited January 24, 2010 by XinHong

Guest tddRjM
hi all :) after some tweaking i got my hw on my hp Pavilion dv7-1010ep sounding just right, I had to mix the GPIO from the vista drivers (otherwise i'd only get the subwoofer working) with the filters and pins from the latest win7 hp driver to get it sounding just right... i'd say that this is 90% functional because in the sound properties there are two options that are there but do not seem to work, those are the dolby sound space expander and the tone control (can't notice any difference after fidling with both) is there any further tweaking i should do to get it just right? where and how did you mod these drivers? thx in advance :) great work you made, now i have my card sounding as it should =D
Guest tddRjM
on a side and not very important note, i can't get acess to the sound reality control panel like you have in your screenshots, where'd you get that panel from? thx again
