Thanks so much for your time. =) Sorry, I'm afraid I can’t help you,I'm very tired to add new models, and M1210 is no longer be supported,it's means we can't use the old ST file unless U can find a IDT AUDIO Driver that contains a WRT_M8-2.INI file(Just DELL‘s driver?HP have a same name file that use other Hardware ID) If you find it?just tell me

Raza0007
Hi fis6h, I have Dell XPS M1530, same as yourself. Which version of the driver are you using for Sigmatel on windows 7? Can you kindly provide a link as there are multiple links in your previous posts and I could not understand which is optimized for xps M1530. Also will that driver work for both 32 bit and 64 bit windows 7? Will it also work with creative audigy advanced mb software? Thanks. I downloaded your previous modded driver version 6.10.0.6292, I believe, with SRS. It was fine. Now I downloaded this new version 6314 with wavemaxx audio and it does indeed sound great. You have to play with the Maxxaudio enhancements a little to get it right for the xps m1530, as I believe the codec is optimized for another chip. Are you sure it won't cause any harm to the audio hardware in M1530 in the long run?

They have nothing to do with what sound chip you have.

Raza0007
Thank you Michael and fis6h. I like this new wavemaxx, it is a lot better than the SRS. However, if you are watching a xvid movie encoded in 5.1 channel and watching it through VLC media player and listening through headphones, the wavemax codec does not effectively downmix the 5.1 audio to stereo. Both SRS and creative audigy did a better job in that regard. The 5.1 sound from wavemax feels dulled or muted. Anyone else notice this? Anyway, thanks fish6h for doing the hard work of modding these drivers. My XPS1530 is almost win 7 compatible now. By the way, did you ever mod the bluetooth drivers for win 7? That is the only driver that is still causing problems for me on XPS1530.

I was not suggesting it was caused by something you did. I was just commenting on the pros and cons of the SRS, Wavemaxx and Creative enhancements. I believe folks at wavemaxx should look into it. Wavemaxx is superior to both SRS and creative when it comes to 2 channel (stereo) audio, but lags the others in 5.1 channel audio (when heard through a stereo headphone). around! May I ask some experienced people here to make a mod of any recent IDT driver package to be installed on the following configuration: Name SigmaTel High Definition Audio CODEC Manufacturer SigmaTel Status OK PNP Device ID HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_8384&DEV_7690&SUBSYS_102801C8&REV_1022\4&1A3E934B&0&0001 Driver c:\windows\system32\drivers\stwrt64.sys (6.10.5614.0, 383.00 KB (392,192 bytes), 08/03/2011 12:38 AM) Another related info is: Dell Precision M65 Workstation Windows 7 Ultimate x64 SP1 English Also you could see that now I yet use genuine Dell driver SigmaTel STAC92XX C-Major HD Audio v6.10.0.5614,A09 designed for Vista x64, downloaded from page of Precision M4300 and installed under Vista compatibility mode... Basically it works OK... Appreciate your kind attention! Unfortunately z mod as kindly made by fis6h can't be applied/installed in my case because of a small difference in device id > SYSBUS [ my is 102801C8 vs 102801CE as listed there] :) :P or can I just edit stwrt64.ini & appropriate WRT_M...INI files to get driver installed? :) If so, then can I mod any genuine IDT driver package? THANK YOU! :w00t: P.S. current extra info: 1. hardware ids: HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_8384&DEV_7690&SUBSYS_102801C8&REV_1022 HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_8384&DEV_7690&SUBSYS_102801C8 2. compatible ids: HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&CTLR_VEN_8086&CTLR_DEV_27D8&VEN_8384&DEV_7690&REV_1022 HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&CTLR_VEN_8086&VEN_8384&DEV_7690&REV_1022 HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_8384&DEV_7690&REV_1022 HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&CTLR_VEN_8086&CTLR_DEV_27D8&VEN_8384&DEV_7690 HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&CTLR_VEN_8086&VEN_8384&DEV_7690 HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_8384&DEV_7690 HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&CTLR_VEN_8086&CTLR_DEV_27D8&VEN_8384 HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&CTLR_VEN_8086&VEN_8384 HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_8384 HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&CTLR_VEN_8086&CTLR_DEV_27D8 HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&CTLR_VEN_8086 HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&GF&VEN_8384&DEV_7690&SUBSYS_102801C8&REV_1022 HDAUDIO\FUNC_01 Edited March 7, 2011 by laidbacktokyo
