alirezatmt
hi dox thank you for the time you put on this drivers I have tested this driver on my MacBook Pro Unibody with both 9400M+9600M GT. I have uninstalled driver then install it. The installer detect both GPU but when installation finished it has just install 9600M GT! can you fix this in the next release. This is a common laptop with hybrid SLI. some of my friend also use this Laptop but we always have 9600M GT GPU installed. so we run out of battery in about 2 hours in Windows. that's not acceptable with 5 hours battery life in Mac OS X with 9400M activated! On the other hand, I want to use 9600M GT for gaming so i should have this ability to switch between them. I have installed Windows 7 build 7201 CPU 2.4GHz RAM 2G DDR3 9400M chipset with 9400M GPU + 9600M GT GPU Edited July 23, 2009 by alirezatmt

Guest The_moo
I am trying to get this to work on my M17x ....so far no -go sorry i could not edit my post @ Dox the M17x has the option in BIOS to disable hybrid mode and run off either the 9400m or the discrete cards The hybrid SLI lets you switch on the fly without a reboot... these drivers do not work. and you are correct the FN+f7 switches but it requires a reboot when not running hybrid SLI...... The M17x is not like the m15x or m17x We would love to have you back @ NBR :) ....the Alienware section could really use you .... A member finally got 12k on the 280m GTX in SLI with 182.xx driver.... They had to use that one because 185.xx didn't work :)
Dox
Ok, I remember now, 185.85 has a low level incompatibility with alienware machines for some reason. - code 43 error or something. This was widely known on NBR. Nothing I can do. Just use another driver 186.xx should work?

The 185.xx driver installs and works but sets our gamma to insanely high levels. I feel like im on a acid trip or about to meet a leprechaun. Dox
you could use rivatuner to adjust the gamme levels? (you'll have to run rivatuner in driver emulation mode though) I'm sure you already thought of that though. Other than that just wait until I get back into the scene. It was unfortunate that 185.85 does seem to work well with AW laptops.

Guest Fan
I just want to thanks dox for all his hard work. However, it annoys me to no end when people bash his work. Dox works hard with no compensation and yet there are so many idiots out there who would belittle him ( http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=402946 )
Dox
thanks for the appreciation "guest_fan". Im not bothered by it at all, the guy enjoys 3d marks 06 so let him carry on - I know I rather be playing some real games myself :) . Not sure why he isnt using 185.85 though. Nobody is forced to use modded drivers its not like I go out and actively encourage people to do so. This is purely a hobby, if the modded drivers helped or became of benifit to a handful of people that is good enough for me! :P heres to next release (when ever that is :S ) Also: why do people insist on using DOX? Its Dox people, no need to scream my name :)

yssul1027
Hi, Dox. I'm having a problem with this driver. I currently own hp pavilion dv 6900 series, with Geforce go 7150m installed on it. (Vista 32 bit.) I have uninstalled my previous driver, and all I have currently is Geforece MCP67M It appeared that both Geforce 7150m and Geforce MCP67M were on the list supported by this driver; but when I tried instaling it, all I got was "no compatible hardware found." Please advise. Thanks. Edited July 27, 2009 by yssul1027
dpiercey
Drivers work awesome on the Sager 9280 setup. Very pleased with this release, thanks. (Anyone care to shed light on installing Physics drivers? Does it require both versions or can the latest be installed?)
Dox
hi, PHYSX: ********** I have removed PhysX installation to reduce download size. To turn physX on: - Download version 8.09.04 and install - Download and install version 9.09.0408 without uninstalling 8.09.04 - Turn physX on via Nvidia control panel. so install the older version first (8.09.94), then the new version (what ever that is on Nv's site) without uninstalling the old version. This guarantees fully working physX.
Iranlei
Dox, i´m having a big issue since 182.05 drivers. In fact, all drivers since 182.05 (official or not) are having an annoying behavoir here. I´ve tried diferent versions and it seems to be the same. After instaling the drivers, my screen start to flash continuosly, something like "blowing pixels"! The dots start to flash more and more. Imagine when you overclock you GPU futher than it can be and it shows artifacts! That´s it. I have a geforce go 9650m gt. Now i´m using Windows 7 Ultimate x64 and Nvidia Official 179.48. All drivers after that shows the same issue i told before. Do you have any ideia what it could be? Edited July 28, 2009 by Iranlei
Dox
All I know is 9650M GT with the newer drivers seem to have this problem. Just a compatibility bug in the driver that Nvidia has to sort out. You should send them a bug report
