noisland Posted May 29, 2009 Report Share Posted May 29, 2009 My Toshiba Satellite U305-87446 Centrino core 2 duo T5250 @ 1.50 GHz INTEL GM965 express chipset driver is version 7.14.10.1263 WOW needs version 15.11.3.1576 INTEL has upgrade for version 15.12.4.1666 BUT Laptop won't pass WinSAT* test that tests to see if LT will support windows AERO desktop theme. Error msg is: "The driver being installed is not validated for this computer. Please obtain the appropriate driver from the computer's manufacturer." Cujucuyo Posted May 29, 2009 Report Share Posted May 29, 2009 (edited) In order to Run one of the drivers here your video card is supposed to be an Nvidia... Anyways, first, download the driver compatible with your Vista version, I see there x86 [32-bit] so make sure you download the driver for 32-Bit Vista... Here's basically what you do, download the driver version you want and then download the modded .INF File [this pic will help, it's not necessarily the driver you HAVE to download]: Basically you download the Driver and the Modded INF > Extract the driver once you've download it [at any location] > Download modded INF and replace original INF in extracted folder [basically just copy and paste on the extracted driver folder and it will prompt you if you want to replace the file, select yes]. Now, BEFORE installing it make sure you uninstall the current driver your video card has, after uninstalling it your computers resolution will very likely go down, don't worry, now restart your computer.
