Soor
Hmm, now that I've found an realtek driver that doesnt cause my audio to skip right after boot, I've noticed that something in the power saving settings causes sound to skip after the laptop has been left idle for a while. Anyone have a clue as to what it might be?

Soor
I tried 2.25 and 2.19. 2.19 is better in the sense that I have to to leave the PC idle or in sleep mode overnight for sound to start kipping. 2.20 and laters were causing sound skips right away even on Vista. I did some searching round on the net, and someone had narrowed it down to the network scanners of his AV. I think he was using AVG. Well, I disabled my Avast! network components and its seems to have helped so far, but I won't know for sure for another couple of days. I'm on 7201, btw.
