Yes. In my (German) screenhots it's called "Desktopgrafikleistung".

Btw: Forum's quote function seems to be broken. :(

I have 9.17.10.2963 dated 1/16/2013. I can't remember where I found it, though.

EDIT: Station Drivers has the same driver but shows it as 15.28.13.64.2963

Version 15.31.1.3006 (9.18.10.3006) crashes the windows process "desktop window manager" every time on my machine. (Windows 7, core i5-3360 with HD4000 and nVidia NVS 5200M). A lot of apps won't start without it. I went back to 2973 and everything is fine again.

I didn't had this problem. Overall the most consistent driver for gaming. Games which suffered from low clock issues hugely improved compared to 15.28. For example Gothic 2 and HL2 doubled. I found only 2-3 games with minor performance drops. PLA Game and Skyrim lost about 5%. Most other games are equal fast or faster. There are some issues with GPU Computing but I'm sure this will be sorted out before Haswell launch. Driver forced AF still doesn't work, I guess Intel won't fix this forever. On a side note, this is the first 3xxx build and first 15.31 WHQL driver. I have a Notebook with HD3000 graphics, a little disappointing for me that I can't use it. Intel obviously drops driver support after 2 years.

I only installed 9.18.10.3006 on my Windows 8 machine, but not on my laptop running Windows 7. (The laptop has a HD3000 (i7-2720QM CPU), so I can't use any 15.31 drivers on it).

On the Windows 8 machine (custom built HTPC, HD4000 @ i7-3612QM) these driver run fine.

Best regards,

Andi

Do we know for a fact that 15.31 won't be available for the HD3000?

First post here, but I wanted to say thank you to those who are regularly updating this-have been reading it rather than intel's site for driver updates for quite some time now :)

Yes this is absolutely sure. There is no HD3000 in the driver file itself and we have a WHQL 15.31 driver, furthermore Intel announced internally that the active support ends after 2 years. Only bug fixes, but it will remain on 15.28 driver base.

True, and the installation bombs out if you mod the inf to include a 2nd generation GPU.

Andi, only the readme.txt files from within the 8.15.10.2993 driver packages are wrong about supporting 2nd gen Intel hd graphics devices.  If you read the README files for the Intel 8.15.10.2993 graphics driver from the following Intel web sites:

http://downloadmirror.intel.com/22521/eng/Installation_Readme_64.txt

http://downloadmirror.intel.com/22519/eng/Installation_Readme.txt

the readmes there do NOT mention the 2nd gen Intel graphics and are correct.

btw, links to the EXE downloads for the 2993 driver:

http://downloadmirror.intel.com/22521/a08/Win7Vista_64_152258.exe

http://downloadmirror.intel.com/22519/a08/Win7Vista_152258.exe

edit: in other words, version 8.15.10.2993 of the Intel HD Graphics drivers are for 1st gen Intel HD GPU hardware only and should not be used on any other Intel graphics hardware.  but at least I can use these drivers on my bro's Sony Vaio laptop and on my relative's Dell Inspiron 580 desktop computer since those two computers use 1st gen Intel HD GPUs.

True, and the installation bombs out if you mod the inf to include a 2nd generation GPU.

that's because version 8.15.10.2993 of the Intel HD Graphics drivers don't really support 2nd generation Intel GPU hardware, even after modding the INF file(s), LSudlow.  as I said in my previous post, the readme files packaged inside the EXE/ZIP driver packages were wrong and should not even mention them.  Intel made a boo-boo on those readme.txt files except for the readmes posted on the Intel web site for the 2993 driver, which contain the right information.

latest version of the Intel HD graphics drivers for 2nd gen. Intel graphics hardware so far is 9.17.10.2963.

alternate link to obtain the 2963 drivers for at least 2nd generation Intel hd GPUs for Win7/Win8 64bit editions (though this zip package contains the igdlh64.inf file instead of a kit*****.inf file).
