zaqm
Hi, I`m running Mobile Intel 4 Series Express Chipset on Windows 8 64-bit machine. I`m using an older driver version 8.15.10.2413 where there is no line `no install on Win8` in the inf.file Can you provide a newer driver which does not contain the line `no install on Win8` in the inf. Thanks! :)

Andi_84
Can you check in the Device manager what is the exact Device-Id of your graphics card? (Select the graphics adapter, right-click on it and select "Properties". Then go to the tab "Details" and select "Hardware-IDs" in the dropdown box. The device id should look similar to "PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_08Cx&SUBSYS_074B1025" (or one of the values from the above post).) Installing drivers using modded .inf-Files on Windows 8 is only possible when booting into "test mode". Best regards, Andi
Bawlz McNutt
Sure, the device id is: Â PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_08CF&SUBSYS_85621043
Andi_84
Ok, the device ID (PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_08CF) matches, but the SUBSYS id (85621043) does not match any of the entries in the .inf-File of these drivers. :( You could try to change this line in the .inf: "Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator"= generic32_VEN_8086&DEV_08CF, PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_08CF&SUBSYS_074B1025 to: "Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator"= generic32_VEN_8086&DEV_08CF, PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_08CF&SUBSYS_85621043 Additionally you'd have to boot into "test mode" to be able to install the modded .info. Best regards, Andi
Bawlz McNutt
Yeah I'll test it out, I'm rather curious to see the results. Edit: I was able to install the drivers by changing the line in the .inf file to match my device and permanently disabling driver signing enforcement / test mode. Seems to be working fine, it didn't fix a small issue I was having with the tablet (desktop applications using resolutions below 1366x768 won't scale to fit the screen) but it can't hurt to use newer drivers. mik
15.33 drivers have OpenGL 4.2 support. The 15.31.14 driver is the first with API 1.7 support for Quicksync including lookahead support.
Andi_84
... but not on a HD3000? sandy bridge heading into EOL. Â No, unfortunately Sandy Bridge is not supported by 15.31 and 15.33 driver branches. Â Best regards, Andi Edited July 13, 2013 by Andi_84
tribaljet
I'm little late with this but direct link to the Intel HD Graphics version 9.17.10.3114 drivers (includes both 32bit & 64bit) from ASUS [recommended to me by DriverIdentifier.com]: http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/LGA1155/P8H61-M_LX3_R2.0/Intel_Graphics_Win7_8_VER917103114.zip supports Sandy bridge and Ivy bridge hardware [just in case the link to the 3190 drivers mentioned earlier may stop working] Â Any reports of compatibility and performance with Sandy Bridge IGPs running 3114 (either Windows 7 or 8)?
