thanks stasio.  let's wait and see if alanfox2000 can get the other FFxx versions of 8573

meanwhile, I will update the realtek hda (non-uad) drivers on my dad's Toshiba laptop from 8551 to 8573 w/ the FF00 package.

looks like other XPS users are having problems with 8555 as I checked the Dell forums.

I'm not sure for Inspiron/Vostro users (and those using Dell ChengMing 3967/3977 desktops) as 8555 is also listed for Dell Precision 5520, certain Inspiron/Vostro laptops and ChengMing 3967/3977 desktop PCs.

v6.0.1.8578 from Microsoft (currently a generic HDA nonUAD driver & a UAD driver for Huawei PCs)

https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Search.aspx?q=6.0.1.8578

note to alanfox2000: A-volute recently released v1.2.6 of Nahimic 3 but this version is sort of buggy does not work well with my Gigabyte board (turning on or off nahimic 3 enhancements make no change in audio) - so I've downgraded to v1.2.4 which works well

Nahimic 3 v1.2.6 problem with Spotify and MPC-HC

maybe try this 6.0.1.8569 HDA + Maxxaudio driver from MS Update Catalog (though it does not include the MaxxAudio software but only the Maxxaudio integration DLL files) [cab file size 182Mb]

unrelated note: v6.0.1.8586 from MS Update Catalog (currently a UAD "bare bones" driver) [not meant for use with Dell XPS 9560]

No luck. It behaves like a UAD driver rather than HDA, but I appreciate your keeping me in mind!

ah sorry about that, LSudlow.  I've edited my previous post to mention that 8586 from MS Update Catalog is a UAD driver and should not be used on the XPS 9560.

But try out the 8569 HDA (nonUAD) + MaxxAudio driver from MS (the HDXSSMA7.inf file is included as I checked myself).  Install the MaxxAudio Pro application separately after installing that driver by using the Maxx Audio Installer (x64).msi & MaxxAudio_Data.cab files provided in the customized Dell specific Realtek HDA audio drivers.

supported hardware IDs listed for the 182.4Mb v8569 HDA driver are the following:

Quote
hdaudio\func_01&ven_10ec&dev_0233&subsys_10cf1516
hdaudio\func_01&ven_10ec&dev_0233&subsys_10cf1523
hdaudio\func_01&ven_10ec&dev_0233&subsys_10cf1532

Subsys IDs beginning with "10CF" indicate the vendor ID is Fujitsu - some Fujitsu desktops & laptops have Maxxaudio on them

if the Maxxaudio problem occurs with 8569, then the problem is found with the Maxxaudio application software itself, meaning, Waves LTD has to provide a fix for their software

Dell's version of 8569 works perfectly.  😎

another 8569 HDA + MaxxAudio driver from MS became available on Dec. 20 [cab download size 178.1Mb] (this time Dell specific instead of Fujitsu specific)

should be the same as the Dell based 8569 driver posted here. [for Dell XPS 9360, 9370, 9560 & Precision 5520 laptops]

latest generic FF00 HDA driver will do fine for the FX553VD laptop.

Thanks will try right now. And i want to ask you one more question. I tried a ton of drivers and one of them (which i dont remember the version) was able to identify the ''headphones with microphone'' i use. Do you have any idea which one might be that one ? Because i use an analog 3.55m jak and driver only see the headphone part and i can't use the mic when headphone part is ticked.

sorry I do not, SupremeMaster.  sometimes the newest Realtek HDA drivers may not have all the specific features you want

maybe the "original" Realtek drivers (like 6.0.1.8098 or 6.0.1.7926) from ASUS for your FX553VD laptop have the "headphones w/ mic" feature (even though they are outdated).

edit 12/25: or these 6.0.1.8514 HDA non-UAD drivers from ASUS may have them but I have not checked them myself (download link 1) (download link 2)

kinda late for this but

v6.0.1.8555 A18 for certain Dell Latitude laptops (7290/7490) & Precision 7820/7920 tower PCs (released 11/27/2018) (includes HDXADCMAX8.inf, HDXADCMAX8S.inf files for 64bit Win10, HDAADCMAX8.inf file for 32bit Win10, Intel HDA SST & Maxxaudio application software also included) - may also work on certain Dell Optiplex PCs

for ASRock and Gigabyte users with recent boards:

v6.0.1.8586 UAD RTK [ASRock]

v6.0.1.8586 UAD [Gigabyte]  (EUR) (USA) (Asia) (China)
