It corrupted something in the Realtek/Waves chain that couldn't be repaired by uninstalling and reinstalling a pristine Dell driver. Lucky I thought to make a restore point before screwing things up! wow, you were absolutely FOOLISH to copy the maxxaudio files onto the Dell drivers did you know you could have updated the drivers by using the HDXSSMA7.INF file from the 8323 driver package (using Device Manager or its setup program) to update to that version which specifically mentions hardware ID "INTELAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0298&SUBSYS_102807BE" (looks like a Realtek SST audio device) as well as updating the non-SST based Realtek audio chip using hardware ID "HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0298&SUBSYS_102807BE" by using the HDXMA7.INF file. You could also try using this Dell specific v6.0.1.8281 driver package. - but definitely not the Dell v8297 driver pack as it's not compatible with your laptop. remember you have to uninstall both the existing maxxaudio software and realtek audio drivers before installing the new ones. just in (edit 1/4/2018) - v8328 with Creative (mbapo/mbapo2) audio integration from MS Update Catalog - (x86/32bit) (x64/64bit)

So far I've been able to copy the Waves MaxxAudio files from more recent Dell drivers into the 8245 package and they've installed okay. I keep hoping for something more recent. well LSudlow you may want to consider trying out this Dell specific v6.0.1.8318 driver released on Jan. 4, 2018 that was originally designed for the Dell XPS 9370 laptop. the v8318 driver from Dell includes MaxxAudio Pro, Realtek ASIO and the HDXMA7.inf, HDXSSMA7.inf files to setup your Realtek audio devices on your XPS 9560 laptop. remember to remove the existing Maxxaudio application and Realtek audio drivers first before installing the new v8318 drivers.
