mobilenvidia
Just spotted these for sale in New Zealand. For the select few folk with notebooks that can take 12.5mm high Hard Drives (not many modern) This may be of interest, or anybody needing low powered big storage this will be ideal. Anyway 1TB in 2.5" format is here, lets hope that the 9mm high versions come out soon too and in 7200RPM even better. For all the specs head on over to Western Digital
siLc
That would require 500GB platters...or Samsung, who crammed three 333GB platters in a 9mm high drive a la HM500LI. Desktop HDD's just got 500GB platters and I don't think laptop HDD's would reach that anytime soon.
RangerXML
12.5mm WTF, who is going to be able to support that but a couple of people with an Alienware or a Sager notebook.

Bill
My homemade laptop has room for at least 4. :) :) Maybe I should just get rid of these 4x500 GB drives...
