londez
The 6800go mxm III on my Asus z81sp just fried and a new one costs 200$ Aside from being on a tight budget, I don't want to pay 200 dollars for a dated video card. If I'm going to have to spend alot of money fixing a 3 year old laptop, I at least want to see some kind of huge performance hike. That said, I was wondering if somebody could tell me if this card: http://cgi.ebay.com/Asus-C90-CS5110-nVidia-8600M-GT-512M-MXM-II-VGA-card_W0QQitemZ350263710811QQcmdZViewItemQQptZPCC_Video_TV_Cards?hash=item518d58145b Would work with my z81sp. My z81 has a mxmIII module and the 8600 is a type II card, so it should fit. I just don't know if it would actually work once it's in. Will the bios recognize the card, and if not is there a way to make it? Edited October 23, 2009 by londez
