elmo Posted October 25, 2009 Report Share Posted October 25, 2009 Is there a "best" driver for a Toshiba Satellite P25-S487 using a nVidia GeForce FX Go 5200? The site showes "nVidia_NV34.dev_0328.1 = nVidia GoForce FX Go 5200 32/64m" and has "GeForce FX(5xxx) 70 and up" as the driver. I use XP Pro sp3 and run Windows with a 1440 x 900 screen, but I am unable to decide what driver to download. I would like to upgrade to Windoes 7 if the "new" driver works with XP and the Windows 7 upgrade check program accepts same. LSudlow Posted October 26, 2009 Report Share Posted October 26, 2009 As long as your Go5200 has at least 64MB of VRAM, the 98 series drivers will work fine with Windows 7, including Aero Glass. You can download 98.13 and the modded inf here: http://forums.laptopvideo2go.com/topic/14037-v9813-vista-32bit-sony/ Replace the original inf with the modded one and you should be all set.
