doubt,different standarts with if im not wrong - different sizes. Maybe if you are an mobile video-chip engeneer ,but then you would not ask. Also i am not aware of any adapters for this.

Yes you can. But they must be the same MXM version (it's not the same as the type), that's all.

Thanks guys, so please correct me if I'm wrong:

The two mounting holes (to secure card to motherboard) are the same between Type II & Type III but the 4 heatsink mounting holes might not be the same.

Yeap, that's it. But generally it should be possible. I have managed to put MXM Type II cards in my laptop which has MXM Type III.

And yes, it does look like you are having and MXM Type II card there.
