Blacky Posted December 1, 2009 Report Share Posted December 1, 2009 Thanks guys, so please correct me if I'm wrong: The two mounting holes (to secure card to motherboard) are the same between Type II & Type III but the 4 heatsink mounting holes might not be the same. Thanks again John Yeap, that's it. But generally it should be possible. I have managed to put MXM Type II cards in my laptop which has MXM Type III.
