Guest helpfulguy Posted December 13, 2009 Report Share Posted December 13, 2009 I understand this topic is nothing to do with 'games' but more a laptop question, but since I can't find a better place so just put it here... at least it's in Discuss and Support. It's the laptop, Compaq (HP) 8510w. I can sucessfully installed the 195.62 modded driver, but for some reason the brightness adjusting tools (Fn + F9/F10) will stop to work. the Auto Brightness Detection (Fn + F11) does work, but it's way too dimmed. I googled online and most of the answer is "use the official driver." Has Anyone here successfully made this model go through the modded driver(doesn't have to be the latest, as long as it's newer than the official driver)? Thanks in advance.
