When I play Source I usually get 160-200 fps with the settings on low. I booted it up today and I get NOTHING past 30 FPS and this was before I upgraded my video card, any thoughts?

One thing you could try is set MAX_FPS to 60, because you changed your configuration, cs might have locked your fps.

Also, there is some configruation (.cfg) file in your steam map, you could delete it, set back you resolution and graphics settings in-game and see what happens.

Just my two cents..

Hmm can't find the config file for graphical settings right now, atleast, not on my computer ^^ Maybe you do have one. It's just named config.cfg.

But you should try the max_fps thing in console. You can enable that in advanced options at keyboard settings, and open it with ~ you probably now that already.

Also, you can set startup parameters within steam for counterstrike; right-click cs:s, settings, and then startup parameters. That should be empty :)
