Tirion gets kudos for poiting this issue out.

Somwhow the PCI_ID header for Win7 x32 INF got the 64bit version.

This stopped the driver from installing.

My apologies for this slip up, still can't work out how I managed it :)

Affects all the very latest drivers modded.

Hi,

Same problem - no aero, no directx, no games. In the nVidia control panel, the preview doesn't show the rotating logo, either. Dell XPS M1710, nVidia GO 7900 GS.

Thanks,

RPM

Got the same symptoms when tried my own inf (just added card lines). Then rolled back into earlier install via have disk and I was surprised to see everything was working, even the Control Panel, which wasn't working when tried first time. Sometimes this stuff is a mystery...

Where can I get this latest INF?

I have downloaded a couple now, and they are all listed as baing 4.021, not 4.021a, and they wont install in Win7 x64

Is there a quick link to just "latest inf" or anything?

Just look in the driver posts for the INF you need.

I fixed 4 drivers each needed a slightly different INF.
