mum1989
buy a new pc, a desktop pc, more powerfull ! It's unplayble on my 8700mgt GDDR3(=9600mgt) (20-22FPs in 1024x768 (average)) and the game is ugly. and my 8700mgt is a little bit faster because GDDR3, you are only DDR2, too bad :) (whereas on my desktop pc AMD Phenom II X4 550be + ATi 4870 works great 1920*1080) or buy a notebook with GTX285 or ATi 5870 with Core i7 720qm :) Edited April 20, 2010 by mum1989
Guest guest_999
Hi, i am using similar setup with your machine. P8600, 3GB RAM, 320GB HDD but 9600M GT 512MB DDR3. i am playing on a medium level except for the shadows. i turn it off because apparently since i use official nvidia driver it's worse than the DOX latest driver. i suggest you uninstall the official one, restart, and install dox one. on fraps it displays probably average of 25fps. for me it's playable since it never actually fell below 15. in some area it even raises up to 40. just a reminder, set the shadows to OFF for maximum effect. on top of that, i do overclock my 9600M GT slightly to 625/800/1550. i did with 667/900/1550 but it doesn't actually help so i stay with 9700M GT clock level. anyway, yours is a DDR2 variant, which is significantly slower than the DDR3 variant. still, i believe running it in lower graphic setting would give playable gameplay.
