Guest celox
Hi guys, i really hope someone can help me. About two years ago i bought a Samsung NC20 in the states. I work and life in europe, im on vacation (in europe too) for couple of weeks and the hotel here has its access points set to channel 12! Due to US channel restrictions, my wireless card can not see past channel 11. I tried couple of the latest Atheros drivers for my card and even the latest commview driver without luck. My card is an AR5007EG, my OS is Windows 7 professional. I tried the registry change to added "Regional Domain" as described in some tech-forums but without luck. Is there any way to "unlock" those channels or at least channel 12? You can imagine how it is to have wifi for free in ur hotel hotel but can not use it LOL! :) Thanks for any help in advance! quipster
Swapping the card with a different one should be the easiest solution. Those cards are usually hard-locked in their Firmware.
