zipper
It's Windows stupidity that they aren't removed when removing restore points.
Michael Marley
Yeah, that is pretty stupid. Thanks for telling us about Unlocker, though. Before, whenever I wanted to delete DriverStore, I had to boot from a Linux LiveCD and delete it.
Guest R@ge
Awesome job Nvidia ! it works perfectly fine on my Geforce GT 325m, I noticed some moreframerate on my games , before installing those drivers for exemple when i played starcraft II at very high settings i have some decrease in framerate and sometimes some freezes appears, now its gone and it runs at full speed on very high settings ! 5 stars :)

Before, whenever I wanted to delete DriverStore, I had to boot from a Linux LiveCD and delete it. It is possible with help of Driver Signature Enforcement Overrider but very tedious compared to Unlocker - the only unlocking program worth using IMO. I was waiting the 64bit version impatiently as the 32bit version was essential for me a long time.
Guest mylo
someone said OpenCL is not active with this driver. in my pc openCL is not present (using GPUZ). But Directcompute&OpenCL benchmark and Everest utilities said it is available, so maybe is a gpuz bug...

Guest Timur
After editing the NVAO.INF I was able to install this driver on a bootcamped 2009 17" Macbook Pro. Unfortunately it does *not* fix the DPC Latency issues with 2D mode. :) Module, Function, Count, Max Actual Duration [ms] nvlddmkm.sys, , 7194, 8.555908 , 0xfffff88002ec5f20, 6393, 8.555908 , 0xfffff88003061f40, 72, 0.925460 , 0xfffff88002f82580, 729, 0.015436 Wdf01000.sys, , 539795, 8.347512

Vaio FZ21E (0426) Nvdia GeForece 8400M GT To install 260.63 on sony vaio simply get the modded inf from a past 260 release and change the string with the driver version using the 260.63 one. I did it with my HP pavilion and it worked flawless

coolguy16
can you explain me how to get the drive to give to your sony vaio?? Thx Download the latest Sony provided driver for your 9600M GT, get the nvsz inf, note the settings for your card, and find the corresponding settings in the newer 260.63 nvszc inf and include them in the newer inf. Please ask me if you need more help.
Guest mylo
That's not the right way to make a modded inf for a newer driver. it's not the right way but a way that worked for me. :) I got the modded inf (Pieter's v.4.041) from v.260.52 (vista 32bit), changed the version string and used it for 260.63. I admit I have not the ability to create correct modded inf for this. Just wait for Pieter to update website with modded infs if you don't want to risk. mobilenvidia
Thats what I do as well, but then do a few more checks and make sure the right files get copied
Isley
Installation worked fine for me. Didn't notice any change in performances compared to 258.96, however now my PC crashes after returning from standby which didn't happen before. Hope they fix this for the final release. Apart from that no problem, HDMI works fine.
hovercraftdriver
These drivers seem awesome in every way, except my machine still locks up when browsing, IE and FF. Been running them since Thursday and it happens 4-5 times a day, probably more. I can't believe drivers can cause this while browsing, across different browser platforms. Games are great with these drivers. Just pisses me off.
