Cahu Posted May 12, 2011 Report Share Posted May 12, 2011 I recently purchased an Acer Aspire 5742G 6600 and had the terrible experience of visiting the nVidia forum and reading a lot of angry people were having trouble getting drivers or getting apps to run with the 540M GPU right after purchasing it. The laptop has an Intel HD + nVidia 540M configuration. The PC has yet to arrive, but I was planning on doing a clean Win 7 x64 install to remove all the Acer crapware. I usually enjoy playing games every now and then, surfing the web and working with Photoshop. What kind of problems will I be having when it comes to handling Optimus? Is there a way to bypass it?
