Nasicornis Posted August 17, 2011 Report Share Posted August 17, 2011 I tried to update the bios of my 4670 card and now the laptop (amilo pi 1556) doesn't boot. I start it, it does a long beep and restart again without seeing anything on screen. I can't even start a blind update with a boot cd. Can anyone help? .NetRolller 3D Posted September 12, 2011 Report Share Posted September 12, 2011 If you have access to soldering equipment, try lifting one leg of the BIOS chip. If this makes the system boot (behind black screen), then you need a new BIOS ROM chip (or an SPI flash ROM programmer). Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
