zipper
...and I replied before I saw the 15.6" version - probably I'd rather take it; as I'm on 27" external the screen size doesn't matter. As time flies my laptops just get cheaper - my first Acer 1714 with P4 @ 3.4 GHz + go5700 (17" and probably 20 lbs...) did cost about 3000 € ... and broke just after the warranty expired.... mobilenvidia
Why is that with the warranty ? Is there a timer in the BIOS that checks when first turned on, then waits 12 months, the KABOOM
zipper
Probably, like in my F-S that blew the backlight just after 24 months warranty expired... Well, my Asus is now 3 months past warranty and still alive....
tribaljet
Heh, reminds me of how a Geforce 2 MX200 I had broke a week after the warranty expired. Maybe VBIOS are affected as well. Good times ;)
