Xmas should be all over with timezones allowing.

What did you guys get for Xmas worthy of bragging about ?

Anyone with a new shiney Kepler powered Notebook, Netbook or Ultra portable ?

If so your first thoughts would be nice.

I need to look at upgrading at some point, but nV need to sort out UEFI drivers first, never going back to slow BIOS boots again, I've seen the light :)

Ha, just some booze, clothes and sweets. A laptop cooler - which I don't need necessarily; btw it's -19 C outside and 25" snow.

I got a Seasonic G360 power supply for my server.

Funnily enough I'm looking at a Seasonic 460w fanless platinum series for my HTPC build.

Just bought a Western Digital RE WD4000FYYZ 4TB SAS drive to start off my HTPC build.

I had a 2TB WDC Green drive die, with all my precious data on it, so am going make it more secure on a proper HDD.

What server you running?

I've got all sorts of projects on the go at the moment at home here.

My server is an old Dell Dimension 8300 with a 3.4gHz P4 HT, 2GB RAM, a 500GB 7200RPM HDD, and an Intel PRO1000 MT Server network adapter.

Most of the newer Seasonic units seem to be of very high quality.  Mine has over 90% efficiency and for that reason only needs tiny heatsinks.

Yes Seasonic and Corsair seem to have the best PSU's around.

P4, thats getting on abit.

A few years back I had an IBM server, a huge monster with dual 3.6Ghz P4 xeons, 8GB RAM and 6x 73GB 15k RPM drives.

I had to park it outside, it made a hell of a racket.

Seasonic Yes. Corsair is a re-marked Seasonic.
