Guest fade Posted February 27, 2004 Report Share Posted February 27, 2004 Hi Pieter Really a general question i have a dell Insp 8100 geforce/ go 2 32mb/512 133 RAM/XP pro sp1(frills removed!) The driver is the latest from Dell 4.4.8.2 I have a 3D2001se of 2500. Will I see any advantage in using your modded drivers?? mobilenvidia Posted February 27, 2004 Report Share Posted February 27, 2004 Fade, You won't see any speed advantage as I prefer stability (no use having a fast driver that crashes) But I have in my arsenal of INFs modded INFs for StarStorm drivers. These are a little faster. Now the reason for modded INFs mine or Teraphy's is to get all the Display Properties pages. (ie Overclocking etc) It also means that us laptop users usually left in the dark are able to use the very latest drivers (even unreleased ones) Newer drivers also have new features to play with and will have bugs fixed. BUT if your happy with what you have just stick with it (no use fixing what ain't broke) But if you want the latest and greatest, then step right in. Pieter.
