mobilenvidia
OK, was playing about with new server and learning some stuff while I was able to while offline Hadn't quote planned to be live on new site so soon, site transfer disabled DNS on old server so took the plunge. So here we are on a new server This time a VPS Running very nicely I must say As we've lost so much unrecoverable data, we've had to make some tough decisions The driver database will no longer be used It was simply to hard to maintain, took up huge resources which costs a lot of money to keep them on. We'll still keep users up to date with latest Notebook drivers I'll still make modified INFs for all to use as I'll be needing them Everything else will pretty well stay the same Bare with us as we may come and go as we tinker about with things But its good to be back. mobilenvidia
Toying with idea of going onto the cloud but am not convinced yet I'm old school and prefer familiar surroundings Offsite FTP for back up setup so none of this loosing data should happen again

Any chance we could instead get the driver + inf as a torrent? This would shove the hosting off to users but keep the library we all know and love. I for one wouldn't mind such an arrangement, and have a high-bandwidth server available for seeding... and I highly doubt there's more than 300GB worth of drivers when packed nicely... Thank you for your offer it is very kind, but as 10 years or so ago we can sort this without torrents Any new drivers found with links I'll transfer out to their respective driver series INFs will be made and linked in here also The posts will not be a pretty to look at, but will be functional and folk can comment on. My worry is that links die, or move, so 5 years down the line, it can be a real pain to find a driver for that defunct 6600GT or Riva TNT2 on Windows XP for example.
