Infinity7
For me this driver corrects the issue that driver 384.76 had, in which CoD Infinite Warfare game fps would slow way down about 3/4 of the way through a match. I like this 384.80 driver for Infinite Warfare. EDIT: Just found out that I need to have Win 10 Game Mode and Game Bar both turned OFF, otherwise issue is back again. Infinity7
CORRECTION: Well....... I have to retract what I had said now...... If I'm about 2/3 or 3/4 of the way through a CoD Infinite Warfare match, and launch the Scarob killstreak, the big fps drops happen......still.......even with driver 384.80. Perhaps if I totally avoid the Scarob killstreak, all will be fine. Not sure. Good drivers for CoD Infinite Warfare remain to be 382.53 and 382.71. Infinity7
SOLUTION Found: Once again I believe I've found a solution to the big fps drops in CoD Infinite Warfare. But it's not the type of solution I was expecting. With drivers 382.53 and 382.71, the game ran great (and still does) when Render Resolution is set to 200%. That puts my GPU-usage at about 80% or so. NOW CHANGED: With driver 384.80, the game runs best when Render Resolution is at 100%. That puts my GPU-usage at about 42% during the game. ------- Previously the game seemed to run better with Render Resolution at 200%, presumably because of the increased GPU-usage, and previous CoDs generally often did run better with increased GPU-usage. ------- Often the two main ways to increase GPU-usage in a game, are 1) Increase Render Resolution or increase fullscreen supersampling. 2) Increase the max fps at which you play the game. So it's possible that anybody who is getting fps slowdowns with driver 384.80, where they didn't with driver 382.53, might need to either decrease their Render Resolution, or decrease the max fps at which they play the game. Infinity7
SOLUTION FOUND It's kinda funny, in an odd sort of way. This appears to have fixed the issue of big fps slowdowns, kicks to desktop, when using NVidia drivers 384.80 and 384.76.
