Infinity7
New Win 10 Insider build 17035 is released to Insiders on the Fast Ring. Details: https://blogs.windows.com/windowsexperience/2017/11/08/announcing-windows-10-insider-preview-build-17035-pc/#5YTKo5iumYV7gRSG.97 Mute-a-Tab! This build introduces a new experience for muting a tab playing audio. The audio icon that displays when a tab is playing media is now clickable and will mute the audio streams that tab is playing when clicked. Sound Settings are moving to Settings: You can now change some of your common sound settings, such as switching devices and troubleshooting, in Settings > System > Sound. Fixed an issue resulting in screen flickering in the last flight after bringing up the game bar, volume slider or other on-screen UI when playing fullscreen DirectX9 games. LSudlow
Installed here okay, but right-clicking on the desktop icons for This Computer and Network, and choosing Properties, now does nothing. It's not a huge deal - I can pin the Device Manager and the System to the Start menu - but I wonder if it's a bug or by design.

Press the Windows key (looks like a flag), then (without clicking anywhere first) type dev

mobilenvidia
I'll try and avoid this build, as you guinea pigs have not lured me to it :)

I right-click on the Windows Start button to get to see Device Manager on the list too.

I'd never noticed it there. That's even faster than pinning it. Thanks!

LSudlow
You aren't alone - I see others opting out of this one as well. A couple of other issues: my home network won't stay defined as a Private network - keeps reverting.to Public. And lots of apps and installers that use check-boxes don't display them, forcing you to use whatever their defaults are. This build is disabled for AMD computers, so we'll probably see a new one pretty quickly. EDIT: I just noticed that MS is aware of all of these: Known issues If you are experiencing broken functionality in Mail, Cortana, Narrator or missing some features like Windows Media Player, please see this Feedback Hub post: https://aka.ms/Rsrjqn. There’s a noticeable screen flicker when using hotkeys or the touchpad to switch between Virtual Desktops. You might notice checkboxes missing from certain Win32 apps. We’re investigating. ADDED 11/10: VPNs which use custom pop-up windows during connection attempts may fail to connect with error 720. ADDED 11/10: Due to a bug that was introduced on this build, you may not receive all of your notifications from Cortana. Reminders are unaffected by this bug, but you may not receive other Cortana notifications that you are expecting. We are working to resolve this issue and will release the fix in an upcoming flight. ADDED 11/10: The Properties dialog for This PC in File Explorer isn’t working and can’t be invoked from the context menu. ADDED 11/10: Network profiles might change from Private to Public after upgrading. You can fix this in the network’s properties, however please note that the issue will occur again after a reboot.
