hello, finnaly managed to find you guys, trust me , took some time.

I have a problem with an Acer Aspire 7720G who has been upgraded with a 9600m GT videocard.

Ofcourse the damn driver ain't gonna install at all, and to be worse, although BIOS detect the card, device manager won't.

So someone told me I might need a special INF file. Now pls help me folks, I'm so lost. I just need some guidance and something to work on this machine.

Thank you in advance.

The latest to work is probably 342.01. That's the end of legacy drivers (upto 3.xx cards) at the moment (like my old Quadro 1600M). Newer drivers are just for 4.xx - 10.xx cards.

I'm browsing the threads rn, still no clue how I am suppose to get the INF :(

Yes. What is the hardware ID of your 9600M GT?

I wrote a quick new guide for old and new rigs
