Current hardware into use - MSI GT73VR 7RF  with GTX1080  and i7-7820HK. Windows 10 Home  64bit.
New benchmark tools 3DMark11 and 3DMark Fire Strike, Fire Strike Ultra and Time Spy. I'll use default settings and casually do some overclocking.

Tried GeForce 391.24 Mobile OEM - in every respect a tiny bit faster, recommended to try.

391.35 notebook WHQL driver - 2 benchies down, 2 up. So pretty similar.

And updated overclock results.

397.64 notebook WHQL driver - maybe a little slower, except  Time Spy is as fast as on older drivers.

And getting a bad reputation on MSI notebook forums - overheating and dull performance complaints.

Now 397.93 notebook WHQL driver - back to normal level, best Time Spy result. Might be worth trying - let's see if something negative pops up.

Now 398.11 notebook WHQL driver - might be a little better on older benchmarks, Time Spy similar result.

At last remembered to try 398.36 notebook WHQL. Amazing improvements in some tests as if running on overclocked system. Must later recheck if the results are real.

Now 399.24 notebook WHQL. Time Spy slightly better, others a tad down. Pretty similar yet.

New territory - 411.63 Notebook WHQL. Seems pretty problematic, a vast step down on some tests.

Time to forget the miserable predecessor, 411.70 back to normal level - FSU and TS new all time highs.

Then 416.64 hotfix driver - all tests a little lower but almost insignificant.

416.98 WHQL laptop driver. Still a bit slower but not too bad.

417.01 now - pretty similar except 3DMark 11 down quite a lot.

417.35 now - pretty similar but a little faster especially on 3DMark 11. Still 398.xx - 399.xx are the fastest around.

Jumped to 418.91 - nothing positive to say, gentle downward tendency continues. Probably supporting RTX makes older hw to suffer.

419.17 tried - back to business again. Good level but 411.70 still the king.

Now 419.35 - Time Spy a little better, others a little down. But just tiny differences.

Interesting - 425.11 hotfix driver gave the best Time Spy result so far.   Other figures are OK, too.

Jumped straight into 430.97. Time Spy is the best so far, other tests OK, not impressive.  Hotfix for Time Spy results? 😉

Almost +6% from the default drivers - not too bad! Perhaps should try some OC if I could break the 7500 border...

Now 431.18 hotfix - impressive rubbish except on Time Spy. Others down to levels 16 months ago.
