StefanG3D
Quote In September, Intel inadvertently released versions of their display driver (versions 24.20.100.6344, 24.20.100.6345) that accidentally turned on unsupported features in Windows. After updating to Windows 10, version 1809, audio playback from a monitor or television connected to a PC via HDMI, USB-C or Display port may not function correctly on devices with these drivers. Microsoft is currently blocking devices with these drivers from installing Windows 10, version 1809, and we are working with Intel to expire these display drivers and provide a resolution in an upcoming release. source: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-hardware/devices-with-intel-audio-display-drivers-may-lose/e6b71763-5d32-4341-b4fc-43603c64ac47?tm=1542828490973&auth=
Andi_84
Quote In September, Intel inadvertently released versions of their display driver (versions 24.20.100.6344, 24.20.100.6345) that accidentally turned on unsupported features in Windows. Interesting, they did not mention 24.20.100.6346. Are the issues already fixed with 24.20.100.6346 or did they just forget this version? erp-ster7n
maybe 6346 does not have the problems that 6344 & 6345 have and might be safe to use on win10 v1809 still need to use a "refreshed" version of 1809 with at least build 17763.
