  • 1 year later...

Hello,

Alienware M17xR4 and  GTX 765m, WIN 10 home build 1903.

The last working driver I've installed is 345.20.  I need to upgrade the driver to 425.31 that i read is the last one that support 765m.

I've tried some of the modded inf I've found searching the forum with no luck.

Could you kindly post  a working inf  for this configuration or suggest how to modify the nv_dispi.inf?

 Thanks for considering my request.

425.31 is the latest driver that works with the original INF

You only need a modifed INF with R430+ drivers.

Sììì

I downloaded the driver from the direct link you provide me:

 http://fr.download.nvidia.com/Windows/425.31/425.31-notebook-win10-64bit-international-dch-whql.exe

Unzipped it in a folder then I pasted this key in the [Strings] section of the nv_dispi.inf file I found in the Display.Driver folder:

NVIDIA_DEV.11E1 = "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 765M"

and this in the [NVIDIA_Devices.NTamd64.10.0...17098] section:

%NVIDIA_DEV.11E1%           = Section034, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_11E1

Run setup with Driver Signature Enforcement disabled and it works!

Thanks for the hint!

EK
