Will this work for the 910, 915 chipset?

EDIT: I've got these drivers on my mobile laptop, but installation takes sooo much faster than the older chipset versions that i'm not even sure whether its installed O_o

Does installing this latest chipset driver do anything in terms of performance/stability or anything at all? I've been running Vista x64 with the default drivers on the OS without a problem.

If there is no problem than there is probably no need to upgrade.

I had 8.3 installed from intels site - they dont have this new version there yet.

I'm not really sure what my chipset is from the device manager but I think it is: Mobile Intel® 945GM/GU/PM/GMS/940GML/943GML and Intel®. The driver version is still 8.2.0.1008 after running this exe, despite it telling me the drivers had been updated successfully.

Not really sure what to do!!

Same story here, Intel 945GM, nothing got really updated, still 8.3.1.1009 (which is the latest driver on intel site if i search for 945GM). Im abit curios to why those "latest drivers" dont come up on their site, was the same with the previous driver that came out here 0o (and that one didnt change a thing when i installed it either), or am i missing something?

The newest driver updates my PM965's Processor to DRAM Controller (2A00) and my PCI Express Root Port (2A01) to version 8.3.1.1005.

Beta drivers, yes, but very stable and WHQL certificated.

Update:

Version: 9.0.0.1008

Date: 01/05/2008

WHQL: yes

Official: no

Download at Station-Drivers *The link is down for some reason today*

Download at Rapidshare

maybe this will fix your Problems, but for me they aren't changes since the 9.0.0.1007 driver.

greets

Hi, will it work with Intel P965M Chipset on my Acer Aspire9920g? :)

Worked on Mother inLaws Aspire 5315 with 965M chipset.

If you have already installed near new updater it will probably not update anything now.

Is there a way to force the (re-)installation of the these drivers.

I've run the setup.exe and it took only 1 second and nothing was installed.

Then I went to the Hardware Manager und tried to manually update one OSB-Host driver and *surprising* it found an update.

So, how the make this work automatically?

I don't know which devices I would have to update manually and I'm not willing to do this. :)
