TazDevilLooney
Well i have something, im sure everyone will have a chuckle. Here is go...... After trying the driver and the mod inf i still had zero luck. after some investigation i found my card was not listed in the inf file. (Why? everone else is im sure). So i added an entry to the nv_dispi.inf which was %NVIDIA_DEV.0649% = vistamobile, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0649 i also added it to 3 - 4 other locations under the diffrent versions of windows. see 1st pic 2nd file was NVHDCi.inf in several locations again. See pic 2 %NVIDIA_DEV.0649.0567.10DE% = Section001, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0649&SUBSYS_056710DE Install using normal method, and restart. If you get a red box appear say ok. Done!!!!! Oh my hardware ID was 10DE on the end, this wasn't listed in the inf's. Am i the only one with this hardware number? Is it a special card? if so please tell. LOL Edited September 12, 2019 by TazDevilLooney Missing Hardware ID

Karlor
Hi, I have exactly the same problem with almost exactly the same configuration, so also a Geforce 9600M GT in an Aspire 7720G, but with Windows 10. Can you tell me which driver you used now and please share the files? Unfortunately, I didn't find the files you changed in any of the forum's driver directories. Thanks
