Moe93
Hello everyone, i wanted to modifie the latest nvidia Driver in order to Play cod, but something went wrong and i couldn´t figure out my mistake. I´m using the Geforce GTX 870m GPU ( PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1199&SUBSYS_74811558 ), but unfortunately nvidia stopped supporting kepler GPU´s at April. If someone could give me some tipps or have a look over the file, that would be great, thanks !! https://filebin.net/q939a3iqa7xhp8xa
zipper
Won't happen. 425.31 is the latest for Kepler - there might come a security upgrade release later - or not.
ernesto
Hello, Actuall I'm on a similar situation, (PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1199&SUBSYS_11061462) as I,m trying to force nvidia 442.19 to enable the vulkan support on doom eternal... in theory nvidia is till supporting the keppler architecture on the desktop drivers but, i'm still testing how to force the correct section (similar desktop silicon ) to load on my GPU. I had read OF A COUPLE OF CASES OF SUCCESs ON 880M BUT STILL UNABLE TO REPLICATE ON 870M... if you have any luck let me know

Thnx a lot for the interest, well the inf file in the post I see is for windows 10 (I assume that wht "NVIDIA_Devices.NTamd64.10.0" means) I did never upgrade from windows 8.1 I already got the game on a console, but still i'm fixiated on getting those drivers to work (hate programmed obsolence) on my laptop, I'm going to check de difference from your inf file with Nvidia win 10, and will try to apply changes on the win 8.1 drivers INF... or even upgrade my laptop to win 10. I have a lot of pandemic free time Just one dumb question. I'm guessing I should be playing with desktop drivers (assuming notebook drivers don't have the kepler runtimes?) or should I stick to the notebook ones? Again thnx a lot for the help ! StefanG3D
Sorry, i overlooked that you are still using Windows 8.1 - Download your favorite driver - Unpack with 7-ZIP - Open nvmii.inf with eg Notepad++ Find following lines [NVIDIA_Devices.NTamd64.6.1] %NVIDIA_DEV.1341.1102.1462% = Section001, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1341&SUBSYS_11021462 [NVIDIA_Devices.NTamd64.6.3] %NVIDIA_DEV.1341.1102.1462% = Section003, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1341&SUBSYS_11021462 [NVIDIA_Devices.NTamd64.6.2] %NVIDIA_DEV.1341.1102.1462% = Section002, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1341&SUBSYS_11021462 NVIDIA_A = "NVIDIA" NVIDIA_DEV.1341.1102.1462 = "NVIDIA GeForce 840M" Add extra lines for your GPU and save the INF Read the article "Standard drivers and DCH drivers" before using modded INF
