®®®
any specific information about which chipset you have? performance gain? no. more likely bugfixes. XP natively support most of the current chipsets, so basically there is no need to update as lon gyour chipset isnt' affewcted. you can read the releases notes on your chipset manufacturer homepage. the current intel chipset inf utility is 5.xx1108 or sth. There is no uninstallation provided neither for the old nor the new chipset driver. Surely you can use the built-in uninstall routine with a command line, but what for? Just install the new intel chipset thing over the old one. Problems? no. Except when your system was messed up before. But we can't see that, so we cannot tell if you will run into problems. :)
