jacksongeeksquad
Remember that you have to disable driver signing in windows in order for it to install. Download and install that..no inf file..just disable driver signing... http://downloads.eurocom.com/support/drivers/upgradeyourlaptop/Alienware/17R5/17_R5_05AA1028_1060_W10_436.48.zip

I hope you extracted the driver first then place and over written the Modded INF in the Display.Driver folder We are talking 425.31 last of the Kepler GPU supported drivers ? Don't use one INF for a certain driver on a different driver as INFs are made for each driver Before doing any driver installs Grab an app called DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) run this Now install a driver If it fails now is there a driver that actually works ? [UPDATE] Also make sure you are running a new build of Win10 Any lower or including might be too low a revision as from here drivers work a little different

DDU has done a clean uninstall in safe mode. i extracted the driver then overwrote the original INF with the modified one. ran the setup and still have the same problem. i guess my next step is to take it apart and try to remount it. or just get a new computer altogether

Not running it in a Virtual Machine ? As NV doesn't like consumer cards used in Virtual machines or headless and it will cause a Code43 Check the BIOS for any video settings ie legacy bla bla and play around Go back in drivers, find a MSI (your make ?) driver from website start here
