Modded INF attached, particularly for this DCH driver: http://fr.download.nvidia.com/Windows/451.48/451.48-notebook-win10-64bit-international-dch-whql.exe

Disable driver signature before installation

Copy INF into "Display.Driver" folder and install driver via have disk method (setup.exe will fail)

After installation you can check GPU-Z/advanced/WDDM/UMD driver name

Click here to change "Hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling" and "Variable Rate Refresh"

Mobile Kepler users please review NVIDIA's official support plan.
Technically it means, mobile support has only been removed from installer files (INF),  therefore a modded INF is mandatory to use this driver with mobile Kepler GPUs

Binary compatibility within one GPU generation can be guaranteed under certain conditions because they share the basic instruction set

Modded INF is also mandatory if you replaced your notebook GPU with an aftermarket model.

"Both PNP ID and ACPI ID consist of two parts: a Vendor ID, followed by a product identifier. Each manufacturer of these devices must be assigned an industry-unique Vendor ID... The Device Manufacturer is responsible for assigning this identifier to each individual product MODEL. Once an identifier is assigned to a product model, it must not be assigned to any other product model manufactured by the same company (that is, that uses the same Vendor ID)."  Source: PNP ID and ACPI ID Registry

With this driver "Mesh Shader" detection is defective in GPU-Z 2.32

W1zzard is already working on a fix for GPU-Z

NVIDIA_DEV.11E0 = "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770M"  is included in modded INF.

When you say "manual mode", do you mean "manual installation"? This will not work.

Use the "have disk method" as described in the FAQs.

Installation for "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 860M" (KEPLER // 10DE-119A) via modded inf file was a success. Disabled Driver Signatures and used "Have Disk" method via Device Manager. Everything went smoothly. I can confirm that using "setup.exe" would fail mid-way.

You gotta use the "Have Disk" method.

Open device manager/properties of GPU/events

Click on "show all events"

Newest entry must read status=0

Click one info after the other.

The tab "general" below should either show status=0 or some error message

That message is normal, no error.

How does "device status" in device manager/GPU properties/general look like?

Lets try another thing. Create your personal INF.

Delete modded INF from display.folder

Open nvami.inf (ASUS mobile) in a text editor and add your GPU like this

[NVIDIA_Devices.NTamd64.10.0...17098]
%NVIDIA_DEV.11E0% = Section001,PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_11E0
%NVIDIA_DEV.1341.11ED.1043% = Section001, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1341&SUBSYS_11ED1043

[Strings]
DiskID1 = "NVIDIA Windows 10 (64 bit) Driver Library Installation Disk 1"
FLG_ADDREG_KEYONLY = 0x00000010
NVIDIA = "NVIDIA"
NVIDIA_A = "NVIDIA"
NVIDIA_DEV.11E0 = "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770M"
NVIDIA_DEV.1341.11ED.1043 = "NVIDIA GeForce 840M"

Save nvami.inf

Uninstall broken driver

Start a new installation via have disk method and select nvami.inf

No, this GPU contains Fermi microarchitecture, GeForce r390 series is last series to support it.

Afterwards Fermi had been physically removed from the runtime DLLs
